I went there on Thursday evening and I was the only customer there. The selection of pastries are not much. But the selection of drinks is quite vary from coffee, tea and chocolate. You can choose according to your liking. I got the dark belgian chocolate drink and banana cake. What i love is they are not that sweet. The staffs are also nice recommending what I should get. The interior is unique too. Suitable for two people but not for a group of friends or family
Very pleasant decor, trendy, modern and photogenic. Good coffees and teas, limited menu of pastries and cakes. A pleasant experience and very close to Komtar which is useful as the Komtar area is a bit lacking in nice cafes. A cool air conditioned break from the heat. Just don’t expect a full menu as it’s not that kind of place.
A cafe with a minimalistic interior decoration, which serves cookies, cakes, pastries and beverages. It does not have main courses on its menu. While the cafe itself is very social media-worthy, we found the cake and pastry which we ordered (while tasty), we’re nothing much to shout about. We heard that their home-made cookies were the cafe’s specialty, but we didn’t ordered any.
A very spacious cafe with both outdoors and indoors seating. Outdoor seating comes with a parasol and fan at most tables, while indoor seating is at both ground and first floor of the cafe. The coffee is very aromatic and for the brewed coffee lovers, there are various beans to choose from. The cakes are delicious, but can be a bit sweet for my personal liking.
A cafe for cakes & beverages. Seems popular, there are streams of customers coming in every few minutes probably due to its "newness". Cakes are not too sweet which is good and the purple sweet potato drink is nice. Overall is jus like any other cafe serving cakes & beverages.
I wanted to try their matcha pancake but it's not available, so I opted for the rose pancake. The rose sauce taste like the rose candy I had when I was little. The price is the standard cafe price. The environment is nice and relaxing, perfect for laptop work or catching up with friends.
We order hot matcha latte and cuppuccino - I would prefer if they are both served hot, and not warm.Matcha crepes highly recommended for matcha-manias.Nice deco, but some guests think they owned the place.Friendly staff. Good service.
The cafe is pleasingly aesthetic with nice ambience. I had Original Pancake with Matcha Icecream and Rose Matcha Latte, the pancake was fluffy and as a sweet tooth I approved it! but might be too sweet if you’re not into sweet things. The drink was great; the matcha taste silky with hint of rose. Would really come again for its pancake 😋
A great place for a cup of coffee Serves premium cakes and quality biscuits
The place is classy, their desserts are look beautiful and attractive, small size but good taste, it is a good place for high tea with some privacy secured. We went together with our kids, they are also enjoy the environment and cakes. Though price is a bit expensive, but it is good to have a retreat with those beautiful dessert.
The staffs are really friendly and nice. There are outdoor and indoor spaces.I am a person who like cakes/desserts but I do not feel like consuming a whole slice of cake normally, and here, they have lots of small cakes to choose. If you are the same, I recommend this place. But, of course, they also have many other normal size of cakes. And, I like the fruit tea! Fragrant but not too sweet.
Only have one mouth but multiple choices of dessert to choose from.Reasonable price and taste good, will come back for more.
Run by a old lady and a woman. They both work hard and quick to deliver us this amazing Ogio. A must try drink in Penang. It is different from the local drinks and you won’t be disappointed. 🤤🤤🤤
Best dessert shop in Penang! Friendly owner! Refreshing dessert and great prices 😀 highly recommend! 👍
The place to go after a hot day to cool down. The dessert to order is the Oh Kio as the name of the place suggest. It is made from some bee products. Don’t remember the explanation from long ago.Have always came back for years, this time it seems that the price went up a little at RM2.20. Still reasonable I think.
Good sweet cendol, tasty fruit rojak and addictive (and expensive) deep fried battered bananas. The quality of the food is good and worthwhile especially if you're a tourist in search of local Penang food. It took us a while, barely 10 minutes, before we got a seat. The custom is the moment your food and drinks arrive, you'll have to pay the server or vendor in cash. While the seating arrangements inside are cramp, the establishment is old and has a lot of history. The servers and vendors were friendly and efficient.
LaksaChendolRojak🍜 Food wise:Chendol had a strong gula Melaka taste, soft sweet delicious kidney, and red beans, the green chendol was firm and soft! Very good dessert for the hot weather.Penang Asam Laksa had a strong aroma and taste from mackerel. The broth was sour and flavourful. The rice noodles were chewy, very Q, and thick. Needed a few bites to break it down into smaller chunks. It had onions, cucumber, chili, mint leaves, and minced sardines. This dish was probably not for me mackerel. It depends on each person's preferences.Rojak had mangoes, pineapple, tau pok, cucumbers, and tunip, quite generous portions and they were soft and savoury! The sauce was not only sweet but it also had the taste of prawn paste! Delicious!✨ Ambience wise: Little squeezy but good enough for food!🤵🏻 Service wise: Great!💵 Price wise:Laksa: 6.50 RMChendol 4.40 RMRojak 8.50 RM
Excellent mille crepe cakes. Pistachio was nice, light, and delicate. Rainbow was good, but too rich for me. Pâtisserie sells cakes and barista drinks. Clean, chill and nice interior.
The sea salt caramel cake is sooo nice! Good environment n coffee too. Price is reasonable n u get to enjoy the simple yet cozy environment. PLUS point: toilet is clean. hehe
They sell many types of sourdough bread at reasonable price , but the dine in menu not much… is good for simple meals and coffee. Coffee is so so..
Not sure is it because they do not charge us service tax that we were treated this way? - We came in and 1 table was too small for us so we had to combine another table. We carry the table and chairs ourselves while the staffs just stand behind the counter. We then asked for menu and the staff told us to take the menu ourselves from the counter.Ordered noodle with handmade luncheon meat and the food was not nice. The noodles were clumped together (my noodles and friends' tomyam, all 4 of us) and we had to separate the strands ourselves. Food here is also very expensive.Croissant was nice though but don't think will be returning.
Nice spot to stop for coffee and quick bite. Wish they would do a larger quiche though as snack size seems just not enough if you have one 😀
Lovely Japanese themed cafe connected to a lifestyle shop. Lovely interior deco, mesmerising sitting beneath the waving sheets of paper in the ceiling. Food was nice but experience somewhat spoilt by the inexperienced young servers and these terrible cheap utensils with such sharp edges.
This place has great ambience and the environment is quiet too. Good place to shop, to relax, to eat and to drink. Price wise is reasonable. Quality of food is quite good too.
I been here couple of times and never posted it , probably the food is so nice that makes me forget and walk out happily.Saturday morning brunch was my intention but was told lunch menu only 11.30am onwards. I though maybe order a few to keep my stomach quite for a while but never did I know it's enough and no space for lunch menu.Anyway, it's a nice place to drop by for either bfast, lunch or tea time. The curry is a must try ya. Tried the cakes before as well but no pics unfortunately . It's all yummy for what I can say. Must order match based drink too ya.Note : port free , can't confirm halal.
This Cafe has been here for years. There are variety of choices on the menu.Famous on their crepe of course.Lovely environment with a small heritage house.Last time you can have the sea view towards Gurney Drive.Parking can be hard to find during peak hours.
Mango Crepe(with mango ice cream)Mango DelightCrepe Cottage Gurney Drive📍77-A, Gurney Dr, 10250 George Town, Penang, Malaysia🍧 Dessert wise: The mangoes are really sweet! That alone was already a winner! Also, look at how generous they are with the mangoes! Happily eating all those mangoes, so shiok! The crepes were good too, soft, chewy, and not too sweet, big perfect size for these sweet goodies! They are also thoughtful of having different textures in this treat so that we don't go nuts about it. Get it? Nuts! They have nuts for crunch!✨ Ambience wise: Very nice place to chill!🤵🏻 Service wise: Great! Feels very homey💵 Price wise: Affordable!
The food taste is nice especially the mango ice cream cup but the food portions are quite small especially spaghetti and all food are pricey.
Bought custard cream puff and cream cheese pastry. Both were delicious. We love the pastry smell when we step into the shop. They are doing Take Away only, not open for Dine in as of Sept 2022.
Best Bakery in Penang. Love their pastry since 20 years ago~
Cake quality not as good as other cafe or bakary, with the similar price range, you can get a very tasty cake. But theirs cake looks cute and real, Instagramable. And I would commented that it's really just good at looking.
The cappuccino taste ok but not impressive. Coffee taste are strong but recommend to use better coffee beans for it.Lemonade soda only tasted like soda, not much of lemon feel, need improvement.Grapes cake tasted , not too sweet. Refreshing
Had the cookies and the tiramisu Bailey's.. The tiramisu was really yummy and the double chocolate was good. Note that they don't serve cakes on Thursday, it's off day for their bakers. Coffee was also good, has espresso lemongrab and mocha. Just need to time your visit as there can be a queue. Been here twice, once at night on a Thursday thus didn't get to eat their cake 😔
Pretty solid Tiramisu options in the cafe, paired with the vintage environment, based on the old two-storey shop-house in the core of Georgetown. I have ordered the Espresso Kahlua and the Dirty Bourbon, preferred the former much more. It used to be only open till 6pm, but now it has switched to a more understandable time frame of 3-11pm for a dessert-focused cafe. Though on Thursdays, Narrow Marrow will be open but no cakes will be sold. One thing I was sceptical about though, was that it is mandatory that one order is made per headcount, which reduces the flexibility greatly for customers in pairs who might just want to share a cake or a coffee.
Reach around 3.57pm but the stall do preparation and start selling at around 4.45pm. and finally get the rojak at around 5.10pm. But the taste is really nice. Recommended it!
Quite unique flavour. It taste good but I won’t queue 2 hour for that. The girl boss is very friendly. The prawn flavour flavour was powering with the caramel sauce, it balance well with the fruits. It is really a thick sauce. Crispy you teow was good. Big portion and it is filling. They have spicy, extra spicy and non-spicy sauce. Prepare for the sugar rush!!!
Had to be rushed to the A&E due to persistent vomiting and diarrhea after consuming this and took 5 days to fully recover. The taste is mediocre and honestly nothing special. This was surely not worth the abdominal cramps, puking, diarrhea and hospital trip. Two of us had food poisoning after this so please proceed with caution
Cosy and greenery internal environment. Fully aircon. Food are nice. Mainly coffee, tea, juice, croissants, tart, cake and pastry. Very delicate petite 💕. Food are tasty and up to standard. Staffs are nice and friendly. Not easy to find parking at this street. Overall I still recommend to try.
Best place for dessert I've tried so far!Their croissants are so fluffy, best eaten while it's still warm. The guava+asam boi juice made from real juice, pretty worth it. The cake actually tastes nice but if it's less sweet it'll be better. The cafe itself is pretty spacious, I spent my several hours staying there just enjoying my food & reading a book (tho it could be noisy for some). The only thing I think could be better is that the long table with a plant on the middle (which I sat on) actually nests some red ants, if any customer got bitten it won't be nice 😅.
Second time buying 😎 gonna try other flavours like the lychee and orange one 🍊
Love their cake and deco! It’s unique . Cake not too sweet . Delivery fast
Very ordinary cupcakes at exorbitant price!!
Amazing staffs! Amazing pastries + cakes and coffee. Totally worth the visit and will come back again! The environment is okay, not so loud and not so quiet. We went to upstairs and had a quiet coffee time which we totally loved it. Please please try the strawberry shortcakes, it's was DELICIOUS!
My local friend introduced this cafe and it does not disappoint me. As a French Pastries lover I love their pastries especially the scones, its a boommmm! Almond croissant, enchante cake all light and delicious. I even take away 3 scones before we left.
Nice cafe in the Georgetown heritage area. This cafe is near the famous siblings bicycle Street art. There are many cafe nearby. The pastries here is famous. Come early as most of the pastries could be sold out quite quickly. Coffee is okay.
I came here for their coffee. The staffs are very friendly, and they really know their stuffs well. I came here the first time trying the super sonic, probably not very suitable for me. It has that tangerine smell which is too overpowering. Towards the end.. I got used to it.. but probably will never order it anymore. I tried the coconut coffee latte the second time and it is now my favourite. Hahaha. The coconut scent complements the coffee very nicely. The coffee fragrance is nice. Bitterness and sweetness are balanced well. Ambiance is nice too. Will revisit.
Small cabin and yet cozy. Good for lepak2. Staff were friendly and this place owned by muslim. Ordered mocha, cappucino and victoria sandwich cake. My very first time tried the victorian cake. Omg not gonna lie, the cake taste soooooo nice!! Not too sweet, sponge cake just fluffy nice and ‘kiap’ with some strawberry jam at the middle. Soooo niceeee 🤤 10/10! As for mocha imo the price, cup size and taste are worthy! 9/10
Nostalgic bakery shop with fresh bread and cake. They offer 2 different type of cream puff: fresh cream puff and custard cream puff. Go for the fresh cream puff, you will never regret.
Busy place. Good variety. Try the Sandwiches. My favourite is the double ham and cheese. Others are Tuna or Egg. The Shop has 3 general sections Cakes , Bread, Confectionery. Be prepared to park somewhere further. Roads are really congested.
In the mood for something sweet? Here's a selection of delectable desserts in Penang (cakes, ice cream, waffles and more!).
