many nasi kandar shop i ate nasi beriani. but this is the best !. 100% marvelous!!
Went there for supper last night. Food was good. The tall roti tisu is served with 3 plates. We had ours made with ghee (clarified butter) as it makes the roti golden and crispy, as well as buttery. π Plus, the serving robots are a nice gimmick. ππOne star off: Only thing was that they don't clean and wipe the tables, as the table next to us harbored some flies which kept bugging us a bit.
Worth the 30min wait in line. The food was so rich in flavor, so good. You can choose your kind of rice (they also coffee half portions) and then add as many or litrlw protein, sauce and veggies you'd like.
Believe the hype. Crazy queue on a Sunday lunch time. Awesome selection of food with excellent flavour. Would definitely return. They need to improve on their toilets though. Quite pricey if you order seafood. Expect to pay about 60RM per person
Went by this line clear nasi kandar early in the morning which was 10am , there was only one person before me packing food . I decided to dine in as a heavy breakfast in the morning . βΊοΈ Even though I went so early they have everything prepared and ready for lunch . I bought myself a plate of rice , squid , ladyβs finger and boiled egg . Not to forget requested for kuah banjir . The curries were abit sweet and not so spicy . β They have a wide place for seating for customers , was empty because I went early in the morning . The total cost of the food was RM16.20 and my drink was RM3.10 . So all in RM19.30 which was affordable as I took squid and quantity was quite alot π― Overall , you can give it a try as one of the nasi kandar in Penang . It didnβt really met my taste expectations but might be different for different individuals . β¨
Thank u Line Clear for the wonderful breakfast ! Awesome food served since 1930, curry fish head was lit , super fresh , mutton that melts in your mouth. We are blown away . Please visit the gang at LINECLEAR and the guy in purple, you made our day with your exuberance and tip top service
This place is recommended by my friend and it is no doubt the food here is very good! They serve typical nasi kandar dishes. The place is fairly spacious because of the table layout. Other than that the place is clean at the time of my visit which works up my appetite to enjoy my food.
Food πππππ Service πππππ Price ππππ Location πππππ The gravy combination with white rice are just AWESOME.! Take away at 4.30 p.m and have for iftar at 7.30 p.m, the taste much better (for me) π€ Will repeat for others dish like squid and lamb shank.
Update in September 2022: Among the legendary nasik kandar in Penang. Dishes are delicious and warm-hearted, price wise is between cheap and reasonable. This stall opened at evening. You can find them at nearby Restaurants Jamal during day time for the same dishes. History: Very good taste. Friendly staff. Good location.
Long queue @ 11.45pm, speed of service could be improved. Rm9.80 for one chicken breast and cabbage. Price has been increased 25% since my last visit before covid. anyway, It is still delicious.
I wanted to try Nasi Kandar, but I didnβt want to go to an overly popular place that tasted average. So I asked some locals and they recommend Raffee! I truly enjoyed the Nasi Kandar. The gravy worked well together and the add on chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. This is definitely a place to check out if you want to try good Nasi Kandar.
In 1959, Mohd Raffe Restaurant opened its first location in Batu Gantong, Penang's racetrack, before relocating to Pulau Tikus in 1998. Despite its small size, this 24-hour shop lot outlet relies solely on fans for ventilation.Typical of a Mamak shop, the atmosphere is relaxed and lively, filled with customers and employees conversing incessantly. At night, tables are placed on the shop lot walkway and the street just in front of it to accommodate more customers and create an open-air dining atmosphere. According to a local, this is the nasi kandar outlet he has been a customer of since he was a child. If you are not from Penang, always take the advice of a Penangite when it comes to local cuisine. I have had nasi kandar at many places, but Raffe is my favorite. Raffe's curries and fried chicken are two of Penang's most popular dishes; whether you are a Penangite or a first-time visitor, you will enjoy the food at Raffee, and do not forget to practice physical distancing during the Covid-19 while visiting the famous Nasi Kandar Raffee 295-A Jalan Burma, Pulau Tikus 10350 George Town, Penang.
Im loving it, my wife loves it, my kids digs it.. what more can i say?The queue was long, but very worth it. Fish curry and squid egg is the best dish you can have here. Fried chicken is awesome. Expect very long queue and limited dining place. Will come again later for sure.
Delicious place with tripe and urat soup. Price of these are abit pricey but worth it for me. Only lack sambal kicap for my extra kick.
Super tasty mutton soup, cheap but not big portion. One of the best things to try in Georgetown!
Delicious nasi kandar.. as usual Iβll get fried chicken and kuah campur.. only minus is that the space is really small..
Very good if you're ok with a little extra sourness in your curry. The fried chicken is simply amazing
Coming back here after 2 years+ and the taste remains the same. One of my most favourite Nasi Kandar in Penang. Their fried chicken is compulsory to try together with Kari Banjir!! Memang SURRRRR.The place is very spacious and big enough for large groups. Their staff are attentive as well. Come here during odd hours to avoid long queues. Overall experience was fantastic!
One of the best Nasi Kandar's in Penang. The daging (beef) was so tender and juicy. The egg omelette was amazing as well. Best egg omelette I've had in Penang. The taste of the curry was excellent. Just the right amount of spice and very flavorful. The squid was good as well. Must try in Penang. Definitely worth the queue. Only issue was parking. Its tough to find a spot. My friend parked far away.
Best Nasi Kandar in Penang! Look for no other place! This Nasi Kandar Kampung Melayu is the best in Penang, many choises & the price is Mesra Rakyat. Sufficient parking space, adequate tabe to sit. The staff are friendly too. Reccomended to all.
Deifnately a place to go for Nasi Kandar's fan and a gem in Kampung Melayu. My parents had been eating since they were young and the taste remain the same. Eat it with your hand when it is still warm, you are in for a treat. Don't worry that you need to queue for about 30 minutes depending on the crowd but it's all worth it.
Nasi kandar padu!! Best in town although quite far from town, if youβre around the area please try here. Book to dine in as their restaurant have limited spaces for dine in. Reccomendation: Ayam ros and bawang, curry sotong and beef. Have yet to try their murtabakβ¦looks good too.
Hidden gem. Slowly gaining reputation. Old and original Hameediyah Restaurant taste.
We drove from Kuala Perlis to KL, seems not much choices as need to stop for lunch at 2PM. We saw this Caltex station to refill Diesel and also our stomach. I took Nasi Beriyani Telur (6/10), Telur Ilan (5/10), Acar Dish (5/10), The Chicken Tikkar (5/10). Price is surely higher than normal Mamak is understandable.
On my first visit there, trying the 1st Nasi Kandar drive throug in Malaysia, I ordered half the normal portion of rice and I wanted to have twice normal portion of stir fried cabbage, some okras, a boiled egg, and just a little bit of gravy. What I got was a portion of rice and some okras, an egg and a large piece of fried chicken, but the cabbage wasn't put in together.I was deeply disappointed since I am watching my calorie intake and nutrition, and being hungry after a day of fasting did not make it better. I certainly didn't need the large piece of fried chicken, and I definitely needed the cabbage.
Most of the dishes served to tables by plating portions, with separate rice, not completely the same experience as other nasi kandar places.Ayam ros is a must try, and with the rassam provided at each table also served as an additional experience (also a must try). Reasonable prices.Although parking is quite difficult to get in the Little India area, but overall is a good experience for my side. Recommended to come and try if you are in Little India area, together with other nearby infamous nasi kandar places surrounding the area.
[RM 20/pax] 2022-07-12 TueGood food and atmosphere, ayam ros was a hit. Kambing was nice but not hot when I ordered it. Will get nasi putih next time. The ikan in the ikan gulai was impossibly soft. Very very good. Get the fish.Teh tahrik was fantastic but the teh halia ais was way too sweet. Maybe stick to the teh tarik.
Take away taste okay. For my taste is 50-50. Mutton taste delicious, meat juicy, and squid okay. Their onion taste so good and please request extra.
Awesome chicken (both curry and fried were good) and rice with your choice of extras (egg, okra (lady fingers), squid, potato, chicken hearts etc). The price depends on what extras you add. Basic chicken and rice is 8 RM. You can bring your own containers or they wrap in plastic bag then paper for take away. Or eat in the restaurant behind the stall (courtesy to order at least 1 drink per person if you do this).
The curry got some serious kick in it. Kept it simple. Lady fingers beef and omelette. Wash it down with teh tarik. The spice kick and teh was π π π. Super friendly staff and was entertained while seeing my nasi kandar cloaked with curry.
So Delicious..
Taste is poor, the ayam ros is burnt. Daging only 1 small piece and hard to bite. Fried chicken (ayam goreng) hard like a rock.Feel like having a overnight chicken /beef.Totally not recommended.
An Old/Original NK taste with its unique signature taste gravy.Combination of Crispy Fried Chicken and Tender Black Meat is simply Awesome! Recomended for spicy yet mild curry lover
Like normal nasi kandar and the fish curry is nice . They also open for bfast the usual roti canai n etc. Lunch time have mee goreng ..taste acceptable got room to improve... Beside there is a barber shop too...
People are too into viral nasi kandar till they did not notice this restaurant. I like the nasi kandar here. Suit my tastebud. Service wise not so friendly.
A local favorite place for a plate of nasi kandar. Normal queue time. Went for their ayam ros and telur bawang. Reasonable priced food. Worth the try.
